Elopement Wedding at Split Rock in Joshua Tree

When Jael and Michael approached me to photograph their elopement wedding at Joshua Tree National Park, I immediately jumped at the chance to shoot their love story. Then they told me that it was going to be a sunrise ceremony at Split Rock, and that I would have to wake up at 4 a.m. To tell you the truth, I had never done a wedding like that before, but I’m all for experience fun and exciting “firsts” and let me tell you, the experience was very worth it!

Being with the couple’s family and friends was such a joy as everyone was so welcoming and accepting me into their family. It was a non-traditional wedding where we celebrated the reception festivities the day before the wedding, since the actual ceremony took place on Halloween, which was also a Monday. Nevertheless, Joshua Tree had so much beauty in store for us as we explored what Split Rock had to offer, and it was amazing seeing Jael conquer each rock and boulder wearing her heals.

Thank you Jael and Michael for having me be your elopement photographer. You are an amazing couple, and I’m praying that God blesses you in your marriage.

Cheers!
